Pak! Pak! My Doctor Kwak!

"No ispeak, because the people have speaken..." - a very funny yet wrong grammar from Vic Sotto's movie, "Pak! Pak! My Doctor Kwak!" :)

Yes, yesterday we watched "Pak! Pak! My Doctor Kwak!" at Festival Supermall and IT WAS SO FUNNY. With me is my dad, mom, Gabie, Ate Marlyn, and Sydney (my cousin). Man, it was a very funny movie but at the end, it made me cry because of some scenes there :')

The movie was starred by Vic Sotto as "Angelo", a faith healer who tries to heal all the people who are sick using his knowledge about medicinal herbs and dreams to make a medicine to cure his father's illness (he's a FAKE healer and he doesn't trust on doctors because of what happened to his mother and wife) everyone believes in him EXCEPT "Cielo" (a character played by Bea Alonzo), a doctor who swears to do everything to uncover Angelo’s secret. Then here comes "Angelito" (played by Zaijian Jaranilla), an angel who comes down to earth to help Angelo become a better man.
It was also starred by:
Jose Manalo as "James",
Wally Bayola as "Phil" (Jose and Wally's character names came from the famous Azkals players, James and Phil Younghusband),
Xyriel Manabat as "Macey"
and Pokwang as "Pining".

YOU BETTER WATCH THIS MOVIE BECAUSE IT WILL MAKE YOU LAUGH LIKE THERE'S NO TOMORROW & CRY LIKE A SAD PUPPY ABANDONED IN THE STREETS ;)

btw, It also has a moral lesson: Never ever forget to pray to God always ;) ;) ;)

"Pak! Pak! My Dr. Kwak!" directed by Tony Y. Reyes. WATCH IT NOW IN THEATRES!

Recognition Day at Makati Shangrila

"Greater Education leads to better experience." A simple yet meaningful words from Makati Shangrila's area general manager, Mr. Reto Klauser. Yes, I really agree on that saying.

Today, we went to Makati Shangrila for Gabie's Recognition day [a day where employees' children who graduated this year and those who have honors or awards will be congratulated by the company. I don't have any of those. huhu :( ] Anyway, with me is my dad, Gabie (my sister) and ate Marlyn (maid). When we got inside the hotel, we saw three giant bunnies displaying in the lobby. That's the centerpiece for this year's Easter. Everything was made from fresh flowers and it really amazes me same with dad, Gabs, and ate. So we took a picture with the bunnies as a souvenir for us. HAHA :)

Me and gabs with the bunnies.

If only I can bring home those bunnies. -_-
After that, we went straight to Quezon ballroom, (where the event took place) to check if we can now register. When dad checked the counter, no one's still there so we waited and sat on the corner. That's the first time I've been to Quezon ball room because most of the time, whenever there's a family activity there, the event will always be at Rizal ballroom. So, yeeaaah.
Before anything, we went first to Business Center (where mom is working) to visit mom. When we got inside, we saw her talking to a guest who is a foreigner. It means she's busy. Then we saw tito Johnny, husband of tita Beth (mom's officemate and bestfriend), sitting at the corner waiting for tita Beth to get dressed after work. With him are his children, Bettina and Johann. Bettina, also known as "Ina", is 9 years old while Johann is 7. Both of them also went to the recognition day and they're Gabie's friends. So dad and tito Johnny chatted at each other while the kids are fooling around. And me? Well, nothing to do except sitting down, taking pictures while waiting to get back to the ballroom... Anyway, here's a snapshot inside Business Center:

Ina and Gabie

Then after that, we went back to Quezon ballroom together with Ina and Johann. Tito Johnny was left at Business Center to wait for tita Beth. We sat on the couch, bored. Then dad said to me "How about taking some pictures while waiting? I know you want to." Of course I said yes. (Fast Fact: I want to be a Pediatrician *slash* a PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER someday...) And again, *click* here, *click* there, *click* everywhere. I'M JUST BORED, SORRY. I saw Gabie and the Mallari kids laughing at each other while dad was carrying them to a wall thingy for them to sat down. So I tried to take them a picture. Never waste time like this...

Gabs while sitting on the wall thingyyy.

With my sister. I was forced to smile here. *sigh*

After minutes of snapshots,  dad was now able to register us, same with tita Beth and tito Johnny. Then dad kissed us goodbye because he had work that time. Then the event started, blahblahblah. I got bored AGAIN and saw mom walking near at our table. AT LAST. After the invocation and whatsoever, Makati shang's Area GM Reto Klauser welcomed the audience with his opening remarks. It's very meaningful you know, i love it.

Mr. Reto Klauser while saying his opening remarks.

Then after his wonderful remarks, Trixie Mendoza (an employee in makati shang and one of the contestants in Former singing tv show, "Pinoy Pop Superstar), gave us an introduction number. I LOVE HER POWERFUL VOICE.

blurry shot.

okay, there she is.

To be honest, I want to learn how to sing after she sang. (I REALLY CAN SING, BUT NOT PROFESSIONALLY.)

Then the main event occured. Recognizing all the graduates and with honor rolls this year. I'M SO JEALOUS :'( ok sooo, they're calling their names one by one to be congratulated by the bosses of Makati Shang. NOW I'M REALLY JEALOUS OF MY SISTER. Let the pictures explain it all. *sobbing*

The General Manager is talking to her. LUCKY SISTER.

yeah Gabie, Just SMILE.

Keep SMILING...

Woooooh, I'M ENJOYING THIS. (but literally, I'M NOT *sniff*)

btw, she's with her fellow graduates and the bosses of Makati Shang.

I CAN'T STOP LOOKING  O_o
anyway, after that, we ate via buffet. (FOOD FOOD FOOD YUMMY FOOOOOD) I wasn't able to take a picture of it so, I'll just tell it nalang to you what I just ate:
- Roasted Chicken
- Creamy Carbonara
- and a delicious Sandwich.

shxt, IT'S SO GOOOOOD.
Then Trixie Mendoza performed again while the buffet was held. Btw, here's again some snaphots during the buffet:

From L-R: Ate Marlyn, Mom, Tita Beth, and Tito Johnny

Can you spot the difference between this two two pictures? LOL

After that, a magic show was shown by an employee at makati shang too. Then lastly, a closing remarks by Mrs. Merce Santos, Area Director of H.R (Human Resources)
I also love her speech because I can relate to it especially this one that she said: "Always soar high and never give up. Big dreams are waiting for you." ---> yes, NEVER GIVE UP.

then THE END, the recognition day was ended. Before we go home, we went to this photobooth just to spent our stubs...It was really funny HAHAHA :)
(I still wasn't able to scan the pictures so I just took it with a camera instead. LOL)

I really enjoyed this day even if i'm jealous. HAHA LOL :)

P.S ( IT TOOK ME 4 HOURS TO DO THIS BLOG BECAUSE OF UPLOADING THE PICTURES. IT'S SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SLOW. LOOK, IT'S ALREADY MIDNIGHT :| )
